Dhaka, Aug 22 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Bridge Authority has decided to cancel the temporary allocation of 270 flats under construction for its officials and employees, following recommendations from an investigation committee.

The decision came at the 115th board meeting of the Ministry of Bridges on Thursday. The meeting was chaired by Muhammad Faozul Kabir Khan, Advisor to the Ministry and Chairman of the Bridge Authority Board. Board members participated both in person at the Bridge Division’s conference room and virtually.

During the meeting, the Executive Director of the Bridge Authority and Member-Secretary of the Board presented a PowerPoint report on the agenda items.

The board approved the recommendations of the investigation committee, which had been formed to probe allegations of illegal construction and irregular allocations in the authority’s housing project. Based on these findings, it was resolved that the temporary allocation of 270 under-construction flats for officials and employees be cancelled.
