Dhaka, July 27 (V7N) – Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain departed Dhaka on Sunday morning to attend a high-level international conference at the United Nations Headquarters in New York focused on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian crisis and the implementation of a two-state solution.

The three-day conference, scheduled to begin on July 27, will bring together foreign ministers from various countries, senior UN officials, and other international stakeholders. Advisor Hossain is expected to return to Bangladesh on Friday, August 1.

During the conference, Advisor Hossain will actively participate in discussions, aiming to reinvigorate global momentum for a two-state solution amid the ongoing humanitarian and political crisis in Gaza. The event is being viewed as a significant diplomatic initiative to build international consensus, ensure uninterrupted humanitarian aid, and bolster the recognition of Palestine as a sovereign state.

Bangladesh has long supported the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and was among the first nations to recognize Palestine following its 1988 declaration of independence. The country continues to advocate for a fair and lasting resolution to the conflict in all international forums.
