Dhaka, May 14 (V7N) – Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen stated that efforts are underway to bring former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina back to Bangladesh through a prisoner exchange agreement signed between Bangladesh and India during the Awami League government.

Speaking to reporters at the ACC office on Wednesday, Dr. Momen emphasized that the ACC is actively working on this matter, alongside efforts to bring British MP Tulip Siddique back to the country. The Commission plans to seek assistance from Interpol for both cases.

Dr. Momen also mentioned that Tulip Siddique had failed to respond to the ACC's summons and did not send any representative on her behalf. As a result, he noted, she has forfeited her opportunity to defend herself.

The ACC's continued efforts to secure the return of both figures underline ongoing legal actions and international cooperation in resolving these matters.
