Nabatieh, Sep 07 (V7N)- An Israeli airstrike targeting an ambulance in southern Lebanon killed one person and injured two others early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Ali Shahrour, a paramedic doctor, according to Anadolu Agency.

Lebanon-based Al-Mayadeen television reported that Israeli forces directly targeted a moving ambulance in Kfar Rumman, in the Nabatieh Governorate.

Emergency teams rushed to the scene following the attack and took the injured to a hospital for treatment.

There was no immediate statement from Lebanese authorities or the Israeli military regarding the reported strike.
