Jerusalem, Jul 15 (V7N)- The Israeli military is facing a shortage of reserve personnel and operational tanks, with some reserve units reportedly nearing "collapse," according to a report by Israeli Army Radio.

The report, cited by Türkiye's state-run Anadolu Agency on Wednesday (July 15), said reserve brigades and battalions are struggling to maintain their designated manpower levels, while the number of battle-ready tanks has also declined.

According to the report, titled "The Army's Warning of the Collapse of the Reserve Forces," several reserve units are currently unable to operate at their authorized strength.

Israeli Army Radio also reported that a reserve armored brigade was recently deployed to a key battlefield in Lebanon. However, it said accounts from commanders and soldiers on the ground present a different picture from that described by the military leadership.

"These are not full-fledged brigades. The reality is that they are far from it," the report quoted.

The broadcaster further claimed that many tanks have been damaged during the prolonged conflict, reducing the number of operational armored vehicles available for combat missions.

As a result, reserve armored formations are reportedly being forced to conduct operations with fewer tanks than required.

The reported claims have not been independently verified, and the Israeli military had not immediately responded publicly to the allegations.

The developments come amid continued military operations and heightened security tensions across the region, placing increasing pressure on Israel's reserve forces and military resources.
