Beirut, Apr 29 (V7N) — Israeli forces have carried out new airstrikes and shelling in southern Lebanon, causing casualties and significant damage, according to local media reports.

The latest attack occurred early Wednesday in the town of Hanin, where several houses were reportedly destroyed in Israeli airstrikes, the Lebanese state news agency National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Earlier, on Tuesday night (April 28), Israeli forces also targeted the coastal town of Naqoura, with residents reporting loud explosions throughout the night.

According to Lebanese state media and national authorities, at least eight people were killed in separate Israeli strikes across southern Lebanon on Tuesday.

The escalation comes amid continuing cross-border tensions, with both sides exchanging fire in recent days, raising concerns over further instability in the region.

Authorities have not yet released full casualty details, and rescue operations are continuing in affected areas.
