Tehran, Mar 07 (V7N) — Iran’s military has claimed that Israel carried out a “wide-scale” attack on multiple targets in the capital Tehran, further escalating the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

According to reports from Al Jazeera, Iranian state media said an explosion occurred in western parts of Tehran, though details about the damage and casualties have not yet been confirmed.

Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that another round of missiles had been launched from Iran toward Israel, with Israeli air-defense systems working to intercept the incoming projectiles.

Meanwhile, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed that more than 3,000 targets in Iran have been attacked this week since the start of the ongoing military operation.

In a statement on social media, CENTCOM also said that 43 Iranian warships had been destroyed during the past week as part of the strikes.

The situation in the region continues to deteriorate as military exchanges between Iran, Israel and allied forces intensify, raising concerns among international observers about a wider regional conflict.
