Tehran, June 25 (V7N) – Iran has hanged three individuals accused of spying for Israel, according to Mizan, the judiciary-affiliated news agency. The BBC also reported the executions.
The convicts—identified as Idris Ali, Azad Shojaei, and Rasoul Ahmad Rasoul—were accused of espionage and attempting to smuggle equipment to carry out assassinations inside Iran.
Meanwhile, state-run Noor News reported that around 700 people have been arrested in Iran during the recent 12-day conflict on suspicion of involvement with Israel.
The executions come in the aftermath of a ceasefire announcement by US President Donald Trump, which both Israel and Iran have reportedly agreed to, ending 12 days of airstrikes.
