Dhaka, June 15 (V7N) — As tensions continue to escalate between Iran and Israel, Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi group has launched another round of missile attacks on Israel. The assault began late Saturday night and continued until Sunday morning, forcing civilians to flee to shelters throughout the night.
According to Israeli authorities, this latest attack came not only from Iran but also from Yemen, marking the Houthis’ second active involvement in the ongoing conflict.
Earlier last week, on Tuesday, the Houthis had launched a missile strike on Israel, prompting a retaliatory response from Tel Aviv. In retaliation, Israeli forces bombed the Houthi-controlled port of Hodeidah in western Yemen.
With missile attacks now coming from multiple fronts, the regional conflict shows signs of further escalation, raising concerns of a broader confrontation involving Iranian-backed groups across the Middle East.
