Madrid, Sep 12 (V7N) – The 2027 UEFA Champions League final will take place at Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, European football’s governing body UEFA confirmed on Thursday (Sept 11) following an executive committee meeting in Tirana, Albania.

The San Siro in Milan was initially under consideration as the venue. However, due to ongoing renovation plans, UEFA shifted the final to Madrid.

In the same year, the UEFA Women’s Champions League final will be staged at the Warsaw National Stadium in Poland.

Meanwhile, UEFA has yet to reach a decision on requests to host Spanish La Liga and Italian Serie A matches abroad, which remain under review.
