Dhaka, May 05 (V7N) — Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, a Standing Committee member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has said that political changes in India, including in West Bengal, will not impact relations between Bangladesh and India.
He made the remarks on Tuesday morning after paying tribute to former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia at Zia Udyan in the capital, along with party leaders and activists.
Gayeshwar Chandra Roy emphasized that it is not appropriate to react to which party comes to power in India. He noted that the people of West Bengal elect their own government, and Bangladesh should respect internal political processes without interference.
He also said that despite ongoing challenges, the current government has taken responsibility for addressing national issues and expressed optimism that the country will overcome the кризис and move toward stability.
At the event, reserved women’s seat Member of Parliament Nipun Roy Chowdhury stated that Bangladesh’s foreign policy will continue to be guided by the interests of its people.
