Dhaka, Dec 27 (V7N)- BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has completed all formalities related to his National Identity Card (NID) registration on Saturday (December 27).

According to Election Commission sources, Tarique Rahman first filled out the online voter registration form and later went to the Agargaon election office, where his photograph was taken. He then completed the process by providing his fingerprints, iris scan and biometric information.

It has been learned that he applied to become a voter of Ward No. 19 under the Gulshan area of the Dhaka-17 constituency.

NID Director General ASM Humayun Kabir said that Tarique Rahman is expected to receive his NID within a minimum of seven hours and a maximum of 24 hours after completing the biometric submission.

Meanwhile, Jaima Rahman, daughter of Tarique Rahman, has also completed her National Identity Card registration process at the Election Commission.
