Dhaka, Dec 04 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced its candidates for 36 additional parliamentary seats in the second phase of nominations. The announcement was made by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at a press conference held at the party Chairperson’s office in Gulshan today at 3:45 pm.

Earlier, on November 3, the party had announced candidates for 237 seats, including a nomination for Madaripur-1, which was later suspended. In this second phase, the party has included Madaripur-1 again with a new candidate.

Among the notable nominees are:

  • Sultan Salauddin Tuku for Tangail-5

  • Habibur Rahman for Dhaka-9

  • Sheikh Rabiul Alam for Dhaka-10

  • Ariful Haque Chowdhury for Sylhet-4

  • Reza Kibria for Habiganj-1

  • Giasuddin Quader Chowdhury for Chittagong-6

The BNP will continue finalizing its candidates for the remaining constituencies in the coming weeks as preparations for the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections continue.
