Dhaka, Oct 27 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) aims to form a grand alliance with political parties engaged in the anti-fascist movement, according to BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed.
Speaking to reporters after paying homage at the tomb of party founder Ziaur Rahman on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of the Jubo Dal on Monday (October 27), Salahuddin said that maintaining national unity is now the party’s top priority.
“The BNP wants to send a clear message that no one should take the path of division. Preserving unity is essential for our national interest,” he stated.
Regarding the recent meeting of the party’s high command with candidates from across the country ahead of the next general election, Salahuddin explained that it was intended to strengthen internal cohesion and ensure unity within the party.
He further added that a youth-oriented national program will soon be introduced to guide the future political and developmental vision of the country. “The Bangladesh of the future will be youth-based,” Salahuddin remarked.
