Dhaka, Oct 01 (V7N) – BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that the unrest in the Chittagong Hill Tracts during Durga Puja is the result of both national and international conspiracies.
He made the remarks while visiting a puja mandap in Paltan on Wednesday morning.
Rizvi said those who could not accept the fall of Sheikh Hasina are “systematically creating instability in the hills during the puja,” adding that communal harmony is being politically undermined.
Accusing “neighboring countries” of involvement, he claimed that there are attempts to sabotage Durga Puja from across the border. “Hindus and Muslims have pledged together to ensure the festival is celebrated peacefully,” he said, urging all to work beyond party lines to protect communal harmony.
