Dhaka, Aug 12 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman returned home on Tuesday morning following a successful surgery. He left the hospital at around 11 am amid warm welcomes from party leaders and activists gathered outside.

Earlier, central leaders of the party spoke to reporters at the hospital, expressing gratitude for the prayers and support received.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman assured the public that he is now fully healthy and requested continued prayers from the people of the country.

According to the party’s Nayeb Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Dr. Rahman will resume public activities after taking a two-week rest.
