Thakurgaon, July 04 (V7N) – Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) convener Nahid Islam has strongly condemned the continued border killings and alleged attempts by India’s Border Security Force (BSF) to push Indian Muslims into Bangladesh under the guise of labeling them as illegal immigrants.

Speaking at a road meeting at the old bus stand area in Thakurgaon on Friday afternoon (July 4), Nahid said, “Bangladesh is a post-uprising country of students and people. No more push-ins will be accepted at the border. Border killings will be stopped at any cost.”

He criticized that despite recent political changes, the "old arrangements" and discriminatory practices still persist in the country. He called for a new system to build a Bangladesh free from inequality and pledged that NCP will work towards this goal.

Addressing another gathering, Nahid added, “We are fighting to build a new Bangladesh where fascism, extortion, and terrorism will not exist. The youth must come forward. Because every time the youth has stood up, Bangladesh has been saved.”

Later, NCP leaders and activists offered Friday prayers at a local mosque. The party is scheduled to continue its road rallies in Pirganj, Dinajpur, and Bogra as part of their ongoing campaign across Rangpur division.
