Dhaka, July 4 (V7N) — Another cocktail explosion rocked the area in front of the central office of the National Citizens Party (NCP) late Wednesday night, injuring several people and damaging property.

The incident occurred around 11:30 pm on July 3 during a July painting exhibition organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan City South unit of the NCP. Witnesses said that miscreants hurled a cocktail at the exhibition car, severely damaging its LED lighting system. The identities of the attackers remain unknown.

Following the explosion, at around 12:30 am, angry NCP leaders and activists staged a protest march in front of the central office under the banner of Dhaka Metropolitan City. The demonstrators condemned the repeated attacks and demanded swift action from law enforcement.

This is not the first such attack on the NCP headquarters. On June 23, a similar cocktail attack in front of the office left four people injured, raising concerns about security around party activities and offices.

Authorities have yet to confirm who was behind Wednesday night's attack. Security in the area has reportedly been tightened, and police say an investigation is underway.
