Dhaka, June 20 (V7N) — A high-level delegation of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, is scheduled to visit China on June 22 at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Ahead of the visit, the BNP delegation attended a meeting at the Chinese Embassy in Dhaka on Thursday evening. The meeting was held at the invitation of China's acting ambassador to Bangladesh, Liu Yuyin.
Alongside Mirza Fakhrul, the delegation includes senior BNP leaders and policymakers, including Standing Committee members Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, and Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain. Also part of the team are BNP Chairperson’s advisers Zahir Uddin Swapan and Ismail Zabiullah, Professor Dr. Sukomal Barua, and BNP Media Cell Convener Moudud Ahmed Pavel.
The visit is expected to focus on strengthening ties between the BNP and the Communist Party of China, as well as discussions on regional political and economic developments.
