Dhaka, June 17 (V7N) — Brazilian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Paulo Fernando Dias Feres, is holding a meeting with BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at the BNP Chairperson's office in Gulshan.

The meeting, which began at 11:00 am, is part of BNP’s ongoing diplomatic engagements with envoys from various countries. BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and the party chairperson’s Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs, Shama Obaid, are accompanying Fakhrul in the discussion.

According to party sources, the meeting is expected to cover bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Brazil, with a particular focus on investment opportunities, trade cooperation, and potential collaboration in the sports sector.

This diplomatic engagement follows another high-profile meeting on Monday (June 16), when British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke, met with a BNP delegation led by Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

BNP has been actively engaging with the diplomatic community to discuss national and international issues, ahead of the country’s anticipated general elections.
