Dhaka, Sep 29 (V7N) – The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 13 people, including two former Members of Parliament, during an overnight drive in the capital for alleged involvement with a banned organization under the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The arrests took place in the early hours of Monday (Sept 29). The detained include former Brahmanbaria-5 MP Faizur Rahman Badal and former reserved seat MP Tamanna Nusrat Bubli. Alongside them, 11 other leaders and activists of the banned outfit were also taken into custody.

According to the Detective Branch (DB) of police, preparations are underway to initiate legal proceedings against the arrested individuals.
