PABNA, March 7, (V7N) - Lalita Gulshan Mita, leader of the Ishwardi Mohiladal in Pabna and joint office secretary of the BNP’s central Mohiladal committee, has announced her intention to seek the party’s nomination for the reserved women’s seat in Pabna-Sirajganj.
She made the announcement at a press conference held at the Ishwardi Press Club auditorium on Saturday afternoon.
Mita said she is committed to working for women’s empowerment, expanding education, creating women entrepreneurs, and ensuring women’s safety. “If I get the opportunity, I will be able to play an effective role in women’s empowerment, expanding women’s education, creating women entrepreneurs, and ensuring women’s safety,” she stated.
She emphasized the importance of engaging the youth in national development, highlighting education, skills, employment, and social justice as key priorities. “A public representative can truly gain the trust of the people if he has honesty, a sense of responsibility and sincerity towards the people,” she added.
The press conference was attended by former Rajshahi University student leader Mahbubur Rahman Palash, former BNP leader Ajmal Hossain Dablu, social activist Ashikur Rahman Lulu, former student leader Saif Uddin Swapan, and Mohiladal leaders Shahina Akhter, Shirin Akhter, Afroza Khatun, among others.
