Rajshahi, Dec 11 (V7N) — Rescue efforts continue for two-year-old Sajid, who fell into a 50-foot-deep tube well in Koelhat village, Tanore upazila, Rajshahi, over 28 hours ago.

On Thursday afternoon, Rajshahi Fire Service Assistant Director Didarul Alam said a 45-foot-deep hole has been dug so far, and firefighters are continuing efforts to reach the child.

Sajid fell into the open well while walking with his mother on Wednesday afternoon. Within an hour, three fire service units began rescue operations, which have now expanded to eight units.

Rescuers have attempted to supply oxygen inside the well, and excavation work using machinery continued throughout the night. Authorities remain committed to reaching the child as quickly as possible.
