Satkhira, Sep 13 (V7N) – The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) has handed over ten Bangladeshi nationals detained from the Hakimpur border in West Bengal to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). The handover took place at the zero line of the Toluigacha border in Satkhira on Friday night.
Among those repatriated were three women, three men, and four children.
According to BGB sources, the handover was carried out through a flag meeting at the zero line. Later, around 9:30 pm, the BGB transferred the group to Satkhira Sadar Police Station. The individuals are reported to be residents of Rangamati, Chattogram, Satkhira, Gazipur, and Bagerhat districts.
Satkhira Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamimul Haque said the BSF had detained them earlier at the Hakimpur check post area under Bashirhat subdivision of North 24 Parganas district in India. “They were handed over to us following due process.
