Barguna, Sept 8 (V7N) – A joint force comprising the Bangladesh Navy and traffic police conducted a special checkpost operation in Barguna’s Patharghata on Sunday, September 7, to maintain transport discipline and ensure law and order on the roads.
The operation, carried out at the Gol Chattar area of the municipal town from morning until noon, resulted in 12 cases being filed and fines amounting to Tk 38,000 collected. The drive was led by Lieutenant M. Ashfaq Hossain, Commander of the Navy Contingent in Patharghata.
During the inspection, motorcycles, easy bikes, mini-trucks, and microbuses were checked. Law enforcers focused on verifying the use of helmets, driving licenses, and vehicle documents.
Lieutenant Hossain stated that such drives will continue in the future to ensure safe movement of people and maintain discipline in road transport.
