PABNA, JUNE 06 (V7N) – Awareness leaflets promoting a "safe Chatmohar, a life free from accidents, drugs, eve-teasing, and teenage gangs" were distributed among parents in Chatmohar, Pabna, on Wednesday morning, June 4.

The initiative, led by Chatmohar Municipality BNP General Secretary Touhidul Islam Taijul, saw leaflets distributed to traders, pedestrians, and guardians in various areas of the municipal headquarters, including Chatmohar Bus Stand, Shahi Mosque Intersection, Upazila Gate, Zero Point, Thana Bazar, and Star Intersection. The leaflets conveyed various awareness messages aimed at the local community.

Present during the distribution were Upazila Chhatra Dal joint convener Imran, Chatmohar Degree College branch Chhatra Dal president Masum Akash, Ward No. 9 BNP joint general secretary Ejazul, municipal Chhatra Dal leader Sajedur Rahman Sejan, among others.

Touhidul Islam Taijul elaborated on the campaign's purpose, stating, "Eid truly increases the tendency of teenagers to ride motorcycles at high speed. As a result, many lives are often lost in accidents. Parents also buy motorcycles for their children to keep them safe. But guardians do not keep track of who they go with, where they go, and how they ride motorcycles."

He further added, "In addition, teenagers are getting involved in drugs and eve-teasing. There is a concern about teenage gangs. They are moving away from the playground. Due to which, various criminal tendencies are also increasing in the society. Therefore, we are trying to make parents aware by distributing this leaflet."

Taijul emphasized the crucial role of parental awareness: "If parents are not aware, these accidents and criminal tendencies will not decrease. Children should be educated in religious and family education through friendly behavior. Children should be encouraged in sports and social activities. We want to spread this message of awareness among the people of Chatmohar. If even one parent becomes aware through this, we think our efforts will be worthwhile."
