Dhaka, Aug. 2 (V7N) – Attorney General Ruhul Quddus Kajal has called on the country's newly appointed Deputy and Assistant Attorney Generals to discharge their responsibilities with honesty, integrity and dedication.

He made the remarks on Sunday (Aug. 2) while joining judicial proceedings in the Appellate Division on the first working day alongside 266 newly appointed law officers.

The day's activities began with a prayer before the newly appointed officials formally assumed their responsibilities.

Addressing the appointees, the Attorney General said law officers must perform their duties in a transparent and accountable manner. He also urged them to take a firm stand against corruption and irregularities in carrying out their official responsibilities.

Earlier, on July 30, the Ministry of Law appointed 86 Deputy Attorney Generals and 180 Assistant Attorney Generals to strengthen the state's legal representation.
