Dhaka, Oct 05 (V7N) – The ninth day of the trial in the case filed over the shooting deaths of six people in Chankharpul, Dhaka, during the July–August movement, is being held today (October 5) at the International Crimes Tribunal-1.

During today’s proceedings, three witnesses are scheduled to give their statements before the tribunal.

Earlier, on September 25, the eighth day of hearings concluded with the testimony and cross-examination of three witnesses. So far, a total of 17 witnesses, including eyewitnesses and police officers, have provided their statements in the case.

Meanwhile, eight individuals, including former NTMC Director General Ziaul Ahsan and Abdullah Hill Kafi, were produced before the tribunal this morning in connection with a separate case of genocide and crimes against humanity. Additionally, four other accused have been presented before the tribunal in various other ongoing crimes against humanity cases.
