Dhaka, Sep 08 (V7N) – The third day of testimony in the murder case of Abu Sayeed, the first martyr of the July coup, is underway at the International Crimes Tribunal-2. On Monday morning, Dr. Rajibul Islam, who conducted the autopsy on Sayeed, gave his statement before the tribunal.
Dr. Rajibul Islam testified that his initial autopsy report, which confirmed Abu Sayeed’s death from internal bleeding caused by gunshot wounds, was accurate. However, he revealed that the report was later altered four more times under various pressures, though he reaffirmed that the original findings were correct.
Earlier, Abu Sayeed’s father and an eyewitness journalist testified in the case, describing how Sayeed was shot. His father, in an emotional statement, said he wished to see justice served for his son’s killing during his lifetime.
Meanwhile, at the International Crimes Tribunal-1, the 13th day of testimony continued in the case against Sheikh Hasina, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun. So far, 36 witnesses, including key witness Chowdhury Mamun, have testified in the high-profile case.
