Dhaka, Aug 17 (V7N) – Prosecutor Mizanul Islam has stated that the testimonies against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and three others in the July–August crimes against humanity case are expected to be completed by October.
On Sunday, three witnesses testified against Sheikh Hasina at the tribunal. Among them:

Abdus Samad, shot during the July movement, testified as the sixth witness.

Mizan testified as the seventh witness.

Naeem Sikder, a student from Khulna, gave the eighth witness testimony.
Additionally, former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, who has been turned into a public witness, was also produced before the tribunal.
The trial was formally initiated on July 10, when the tribunal framed charges against Sheikh Hasina, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun.
Meanwhile, 15 accused in three other cases from Rampura, Mohammadpur, and Ashulia were also produced before the tribunal. The submission of investigation reports in these cases has been postponed at the prosecution’s request.
