Dhaka, Sep 25 (V7N) – The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,999 cases in a single day against individuals for violating traffic laws across the capital. Many of the accused were also fined on the spot.

The drive was conducted by the DMP Traffic Division on Wednesday, according to a press release issued by the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division on Thursday.

During the operation, police dumped 378 vehicles and wrecked 145 others for serious violations.

The release further stated that such drives will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s roads and improve traffic management across the city.
