Dhaka, Jun 05 (V7N) — The capital’s sacrificial animal markets are bustling as buyers and sellers come together in full swing ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.
Since Thursday morning, a large number of buyers have been seen flocking to various livestock markets across Dhaka. There has also been a noticeable influx of imported animals into the markets.
Buyers expressed mixed opinions about the current prices of cattle. While some noted a decrease in the price of large cattle, others felt that prices are higher compared to previous years.
Like in past years, small and medium-sized cattle remain in high demand among buyers. Wholesalers are optimistic that the number of buyers will continue to rise from Friday morning onwards, reflecting the growing festive spirit.
The markets are expected to remain busy in the coming days as Eid approaches, with vendors and buyers actively negotiating to finalize their purchases.
