Dhaka, May 29 (V7N)- People are continuing to leave the capital on Friday to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with family members and relatives, as many who were unable to travel before Eid are now heading to their hometowns.

Passengers were seen waiting at different bus terminals and ticket counters across Dhaka since morning on the second day of Eid.

Many travelers said they chose to begin their journeys after Eid to avoid the heavy congestion experienced before the festival and to enjoy a comparatively comfortable trip due to lighter traffic on the highways.

Some residents celebrated Eid in Dhaka on the first day and are now travelling to visit relatives and loved ones in different districts.

Meanwhile, passengers were also seen boarding buses from various road intersections and pickup points outside the designated terminals in an effort to reach their destinations more quickly.

Transport operators said passenger pressure remains moderate on the second day of Eid, while traffic movement on major highways is comparatively normal compared to the pre-Eid rush.
