Dhaka, Apr 10 (V7N) – General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh, returned home on Friday (April 10) after an official visit to the United States, where he participated in a series of engagements and high-level meetings.
During the visit, the Army Chief attended various programs in the state of Georgia and held bilateral meetings with key US officials, discussing issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and the United States, including cooperation and regional security matters.
In recognition of the significant contributions of Bangladeshi peacekeepers to United Nations peacekeeping missions, the State of Georgia presented a special resolution to General Waqar-uz-Zaman.
The visit is seen as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen defense cooperation and bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the United States.
