DHAKA, Mar 14, (V7N) – The government has appointed administrators in Barishal, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Rangpur and Cumilla city corporations, according to a gazette notification issued Saturday by the Ministry of Local Government.

The notification said the administrators will remain in charge until elected bodies are constituted or until further government orders.

Under the new appointments:

Bilkis Akhtar Jahan Shirin – Barishal City Corporation

Mahfuzur Rahman – Rajshahi City Corporation

Rukonuzzaman Rokon – Mymensingh City Corporation

Mahfuz Un Nabi Chowdhury – Rangpur City Corporation

Md Yusuf Molla – Cumilla City Corporation

Earlier, on February 23, the government appointed full‑time administrators in six city corporations, including Dhaka North and Dhaka South, to oversee operations until local elections are held.
