Dhaka, Feb 15 (V7N) — On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus extended his heartfelt greetings to all Muslims around the world, including citizens of Bangladesh. The message was conveyed to the media on Sunday afternoon.

Message on Ramadan

In his message, Dr. Yunus described Ramadan as a month of self-restraint, sacrifice, compassion, and spiritual purification. He emphasized that fasting, charity, and worship during this month provide opportunities to attain the satisfaction and forgiveness of Allah Almighty, while fostering mutual compassion and harmony among people.

He further said that Ramadan encourages the establishment of a society based on justice and welfare by discouraging injustice, corruption, and wrongdoing. The month teaches morality and humanity through truthfulness, fairness, honesty, and compassion, while awakening responsibility toward the poor and deprived.

Prayer and Hope

The Chief Advisor urged everyone to avoid indulgence, violence, and hatred, and instead focus on worship, Quran recitation, supplication, repentance, and good deeds to seek Allah’s pleasure. He concluded with a prayer for acceptance of fasting, prayers, charity, and all virtuous deeds, asking Allah Almighty to forgive and protect everyone, and grant peace and prosperity to Bangladesh and its people.
