Dhaka, Oct 25 (V7N) — Housing and Public Works Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan has emphasized the need for a united resistance against tyranny, noting that even though fascism is defeated, its tendencies resurface repeatedly.
He made the remarks at a seminar titled “Disappearance: The Worst Tool of Fascist Rule” held at the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall Auditorium, Dhaka University, on Saturday.
The advisor stated that the July mass uprising has marked a new beginning in the eradication of fascism, adding that after 17 years of repression, Bangladesh has now entered a new chapter through the July Movement.
During the event, the cover of the book “Ainagharer Sakshi: Gum Jibon 8 Baar” by Barrister Mir Ahmad Bin Kasem Arman, a victim of disappearance during the fascist era, was also unveiled.
