Dhaka, Sep 25 (V7N) – The Election Commission (EC) is set to grant registration to seven new political parties ahead of the 13th National Parliament Election. A formal notification is expected on Thursday (Sept 25), according to EC sources.
The parties are:

Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP)

Bangladesh Aam Janaaz Party

Bangladesh Jatiya League

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD–Shahjahan Siraj)

Jatiya Janata Party

Bangladesh Labor Party

Bangladesh Nezami Islami Party
Among them, the Bangladesh Labor Party and the Bangladesh Nezami Islami Party are receiving registration through court verdicts, while the remaining five will be registered through the EC’s own process.
Earlier, the EC shortlisted 22 parties for new registration. Following field-level verification of organizational structures and committees, five parties qualified for registration, with the process now in its final stage.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin is scheduled to brief the media on the matter at the Election Bhaban this afternoon.
