Dhaka, Sep 11 (V7N) – The future of Bangladesh will largely depend on the success of the reform process, and collective support is essential for its implementation, said Dr. Ali Riaz, Vice President of the National Consensus Commission.
He made these remarks on Thursday morning during a discussion at the Foreign Service Academy, where the Commission met with political parties on the implementation of the July National Charter 2025.
Dr. Riaz stated that the Commission has been holding extensive meetings with political parties to build consensus. While most parties agree on the broader framework, he acknowledged that differences of opinion and dissenting notes remain part of the dialogue.
Emphasizing inclusivity, he added that the Commission will not impose any reforms unilaterally. Instead, the government will act on the basis of collective opinions from the political parties. The Commission has also sought the expertise of specialists and advisors to strengthen the reform blueprint.
