Jhenaidah, Aug 30 (V7N) – Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman has strongly condemned the attack on People’s Rights Council President Nurul Haque Nur, calling it a “heinous, condemnable and criminal act.” He said the incident was not isolated but part of a “deep conspiracy.”

Speaking while inaugurating the regional center of the National University in Jhenaidah on Saturday, the Attorney General said, “The Jatiya Party has been dishonest with the blood of the people from 1982 to 1990. They also cooperated with the Awami League in the July coup. If the Awami League can be banned, why not the Jatiya Party?”

He added that the way public anger, accumulated over 17 years, is being expressed is “undesirable.” He said law enforcement agencies are taking immediate action to contain mob incidents and are trying their best to keep the situation under control.

The event was also attended by National University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. ASM Amanullah, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Awal, Jhenaidah District BNP President Abdul Majid, and Gana Adhikar District President Sakhawat Hossain, among others.
