Dhaka, Aug 16 (V7N) – Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan has said that Bangladesh has the potential to become a leader in the maritime technology industry in South Asia, particularly in shipbuilding. He made the comments at the International Business Forum of Bangladesh seminar held at the Intercontinental Hotel in the capital on Saturday (August 16).

The advisor highlighted the progress of the private sector in the shipbuilding industry and noted that Bangladesh is now exporting ships that meet international standards. He further emphasized that the sector has the potential to become another major export industry, following the success of the country’s garment industry.
