Dhaka, July 27 (V7N) – Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman has emphasized the urgent need for comprehensive reforms in Bangladesh’s judicial and bureaucratic systems, stating that the active participation of the youth is crucial to driving these changes.
He made these remarks while addressing an international conference on the July Revolution held at the Senate Building of Dhaka University on Sunday.
Adilur Rahman alleged that although Sheikh Hasina has fled, her allies remain embedded in various sectors, particularly within the administration, where they continue to pose threats to stability. “These elements, who aim to create instability, must not be allowed to return. We must uphold the spirit of the July Movement to prevent that,” he asserted.
He further condemned the previous regime, accusing the Awami League government of engaging in widespread political disappearances, mass arrests, and extrajudicial killings. “Under that fascist regime, no teacher, student, woman, or child was spared from oppression,” he said.
Calling for justice for the martyrs of the July Movement, the advisor urged the youth of the nation to raise their voices and demand accountability. “This is your moment to shape a just and democratic future,” he said.
