Dhaka, July 22, (V7N) – In the wake of the tragic plane crash at Milestone School and College in Uttara, the government, military authorities, school, and hospital administrations are jointly working to compile and publish a complete and accurate list of those killed and injured in the incident.
In a press release issued by the Press Wing of the Chief Advisor on Tuesday (July 22), the public has been urged to immediately contact the school authorities if anyone remains missing following the crash. A control room is being set up at the school to receive and verify such information. Additionally, school registry books and related documents are being examined to trace any unaccounted individuals.
The statement further confirmed that the government is providing full assistance to the victims' families and the injured. The identities of all the deceased are being carefully verified, and DNA tests are being conducted to identify bodies that were burned beyond recognition.
“Injured individuals have been admitted to multiple hospitals in Dhaka, where maximum efforts are being made to ensure the best possible treatment,” the release added.
The press wing also condemned the spread of misinformation suggesting that authorities are hiding casualty numbers. “Such claims are completely false,” it said. “We strongly reiterate that the Bangladesh government, army administration, school and hospital authorities are fully transparent and working with utmost urgency to release verified information regarding the casualties.”
Officials have urged citizens, media, and social media users to refrain from spreading rumors and to cooperate with the authorities during this critical time.
