Dhaka, July 21, (V7N) – The government has allocated Tk 30 lakh in savings certificates for each family of the martyrs of the July Uprising, Adviser on Liberation War Affairs Faruk-e-Azam announced on Monday afternoon at a briefing held at the Secretariat.
Out of these, 772 martyr families have already been given Tk 10 lakh each, totaling Tk 772 crore 20 lakh in the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The adviser also detailed the financial support for July warriors based on their classification:

Class A warriors will receive Tk 5 lakh each, with Tk 2 lakh already disbursed per person.

Class B warriors will get Tk 3 lakh each in a single installment, with Tk 1 lakh already paid.

Class C warriors will receive Tk 1 lakh each, which has already been fully paid.
In addition to the lump sum amounts, monthly allowances will be provided:

Class A July warriors will receive Tk 20,000 per month.

Class B warriors will receive Tk 15,000 per month.

Class C warriors will get Tk 10,000 per month.
Faruk-e-Azam said a special reception will be organized on August 5 to honor the families of martyrs and July warriors. While the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has several programs aimed at rehabilitation, the adviser clarified that there are currently no plans to provide flats or government job quotas for these families.
He also emphasized that the contribution of freedom fighters is unparalleled and they hold a unique place in the nation’s history.
