Dhaka, July 05 (V7N) — Environment Advisor Rizwana Hassan has called on Muslim-majority countries to work collectively to address unemployment, poverty, and carbon emissions. She made this call during the International Social Business Summit, held at a hotel in the capital on Saturday (July 5).

Highlighting the struggles of vulnerable Muslim populations, Rizwana stressed that these communities are not receiving sufficient assistance. She underscored the need to adopt the Three-Zero theory — targeting zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero net carbon emissions — as a pathway for sustainable development and environmental stewardship in the Muslim world.

The summit, which is taking place in Dhaka, has brought together more than fifty representatives from around 15 Muslim-majority countries.

Entrepreneurs attending the summit said that the gathering is not merely a conference, but part of a movement for meaningful change. They voiced optimism that social business models could drive the Muslim world toward a fairer and more sustainable future.

Participants also praised Bangladesh’s post-coup interim government, noting that transitional nations should support one another to overcome current challenges. They emphasized that collective action is vital to addressing the pressing issues faced by Muslim-majority nations today.
