Dhaka, Jun 06 (V7N) – Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has issued a stern warning that no criminal—big or small—will be spared during the Eid-ul-Azha period. “Putti, Katla, Rui, no one will be spared. The law is equal for everyone,” he said while inspecting the National Eidgah ground in the capital on Friday morning.

The advisor emphasized that there is no security blanket anywhere in the country around Eid, as adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure public safety.

Addressing citizens, he urged them to report any incidents or accidents immediately to the police. “If any police station fails to take action, they themselves will be held accountable,” he warned.

Earlier on the same day, Lt. Gen. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury inspected the Sadarghat Launch Terminal and instructed authorities to take action against those cheating passengers by delaying launch departures. He stressed that the Eid journey should not turn into misery due to a few launches.

He also confirmed that launch tickets are being sold at fixed prices, with most launches departing on time except for one or two exceptions. Over the last five days, 824 launches have left the ghat, carrying approximately 800,000 southern passengers returning home for Eid.
