Jhalokathi, Nov 18 (V7N) – Senior Naib-e-Ameer of Islami Andolon Bangladesh, Mufti Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, has urged Muslims across Bangladesh to unite during what he described as a critical period for the country. He said that Islam offers the only path to peace in both worldly life and the hereafter, and called on people to lead their lives in accordance with Islamic principles to ensure true well-being.

He made the remarks on Monday night around 10 p.m. while addressing the closing session of a five-day Tafsirul Qur’an convention held at the Upazila Parishad field. The event was organized by the Upazila Mujahid Committee and the Karimiah Sakhawatiah Madrasa.

The convention featured special guest Maulana Hafiz Qari Ibrahim Al Hadi, the Islami Andolon Bangladesh candidate for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election from Jhalokathi-1 constituency (seat 124), running under the Hand Fan symbol. Addressing the gathering, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami–supported parliamentary candidate Dr. Faizul Haque also delivered a speech highlighting religious and social responsibilities of the community.

The Tafsir session was presided over by Engineer Maulana Ahsan Ullah Khan, president of the implementation committee and head of the Bangladesh Mujahid Committee’s Upazila branch. Several prominent Islamic scholars delivered sermons throughout the event, including Maulana Mufti Imdadul Haq Arefi, Maulana Mufti Qari Muhammad Musa Bin Kasemi, Maulana Muhammad Aminul Islam Neshari, Maulana Muhammad Nizamul Haq, Maulana Mufti Rafiqul Islam Ashrafi, Maulana Mufti Shahidul Islam and Maulana Mufti Muhammad Abdul Quddus.

During his speech, the chief guest introduced the party’s nominee, Maulana Hafiz Qari Ibrahim Al Hadi, and urged local residents to support him by voting for the Hand Fan symbol in the forthcoming election.

The annual Tafsirul Qur’an gathering drew a large audience from surrounding areas, reflecting the region’s strong engagement with religious scholarship and community-based Islamic programs.
