MAR 31 (V7N) - Mahmudur Rahman Roni (Barguna Correspondent: - Barguna District BNP convener Nazrul Islam Molla has been appointed as Barguna District Council Administrator. His name was officially announced on Tuesday (March 31) through a notification issued by the District Council Division of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives.

Local BNP leaders and activists claim that even though Nazrul Islam Molla was recently defeated by a small margin in the 13th National Parliament election, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman appointed him to this position for his outstanding contribution to Barguna politics.

Barguna District BNP Member Secretary SM Humayun Hasan Shaheen said that Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman Nazrul Islam Mollah has been appointed as the District Council Administrator with the aim of further accelerating the development of Barguna District. Barguna District is grateful to BNP for this appointment.

In this context, Nazrul Islam Mollah said, "I will try to work by coordinating all government and local initiatives for the overall development and welfare of Barguna district. The trust and cooperation of the people of Barguna is the biggest motivation for me."

Nazrul Islam Mollah also said that the district will play a role in significant progress in education, health, infrastructure and social development and tourism sectors.
