Pabna, Nov 23 (V7N) – Hasan Zafir Tuhin, the BNP-nominated candidate for Pabna-3 and president of the Central Farmers’ Party, has called on party members to unite behind the symbol of the Dhaner Shish, asserting his local roots and rejecting claims that he is an outsider.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday evening after leading a public rally in Chatmohar, Tuhin said, “As a central leader, the country’s leader Tarique Rahman has nominated me for Pabna-3. I am a native of Pabna, and my family and I are registered voters here. Claims that I am an outsider are completely wrong. I hope those making such statements will recognize their mistake and return to the party. If they truly love the BNP, they will come back quickly and work for the victory of the Dhaner Shish. Only a small number of leaders and activists, about five percent, are outside; they have assured me they will soon return and follow the instructions of Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman.”
The rally was part of Tuhin’s election campaign for the upcoming National Parliamentary election. It began at Chatmohar Bus Stand, traversed the main streets of the town, and concluded with a brief assembly at Baluchar Playground.
Supporters from various unions within Chatmohar municipality, as well as from Bhangura and Faridpur upazilas, joined the rally, carrying banners and celebrating with songs and dances. At 5 pm, under Tuhin’s leadership, the procession officially commenced.
Key attendees included former Faridpur Upazila BNP President and former Chairman Zahurul Islam Baku, Bhangura Upazila BNP Convener and former Chairman Nur Mujahid Swapan, Central Farmers’ Party Propaganda Secretary Shamsur Rahman Shams, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP member Advocate Arifa Sultana Ruma, and leaders and officials from all affiliated and cooperative organizations.
The rally highlighted Tuhin’s efforts to consolidate party support in his constituency and mobilize grassroots leaders and voters ahead of the election.
