Rangamati, Nov 20 (V7N) – BNP’s nominated candidate Dipen Dewan held a views-exchange meeting on Monday with district, upazila, and municipal leaders as part of preparations for the upcoming national election.

A views-exchange meeting bringing together BNP leaders from all upazilas and municipalities of Rangamati district was held on Monday at the auditorium of the Rangamati Tourism Complex. The programme was organized at the initiative of BNP’s candidate for the constituency, Dipen Dewan, who received the party’s nomination under the Dhaner Shish symbol. Senior district leaders, presidents and general secretaries of the ten upazila BNP units, and top leaders of the two municipal BNP committees were in attendance, according to party sources.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dewan responded to questions from local journalists. He said that BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman nominated him after a rigorous evaluation process. Expressing gratitude on behalf of grassroots supporters, he thanked the party’s high command for placing confidence in his candidature.

Dewan said the purpose of the meeting was to strategize on how to secure victory for the BNP candidate and reclaim the Rangamati seat for the party in the forthcoming national election. “From today, we begin our campaign activities in a formal and organized manner,” he said.

He added that the party’s decision is final for all members and emphasized that unity and collective effort are essential for presenting a strong and well-organized BNP in Rangamati. He noted that the enthusiasm and support from grassroots activists had further motivated him to work for the constituency with renewed commitment.

District and upazila BNP leaders present at the meeting welcomed the party’s candidate and pledged to work actively in the election campaign.
